BTS rapper Suga once chased by obsessive fan at airport and details will shock you
Being one of the biggest bands in the world, South Korean band BTS certainly has a huge fan base across the globe. However, it also means that some of them are also sasaeng, which is a Korean term used for an obsessive fan who stalks or engages in behavior that invades the privacy of Korean idols, theater actors or other public figures.
Such a date with a sasaeng happened a few years ago, the septet: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook, arrived at an airport and was greeted by a crowd of delighted fans. Among the crowd was a fan who slipped through the barricade created by the group’s security guards and started following rapper and music producer Suga. The sasaeng was then seen chasing after Suga.

According to a report from Koreaboo, the fan was seen running towards Suga while they were inside the building. As the sasaeng threw himself on Suga, she tried to kiss the singer. The 28-year-old artist pushed her away and security guards immediately arrived at the scene. Part of the incident was also recorded on camera and shared on social media. According to Koreaboo, as Suga pushed the lady away, several onlookers also shouted at her in anger for invading the artist’s privacy.
On several occasions, Suga has mentioned how important his personal space and privacy is to him. Several ARMYs had also shared their opinion of the incident on social media. As one fan tweeted, “I swear, sasaeng, please stop. Yoongi isn’t comfortable with people who invade her personal space.
Other members of BTS have also addressed the issue when it comes to dealing with sasaengs. In a V Live, singer V, also known as Kim Taehyung, said band members had to board planes on charter flights even if they wanted to travel on a scheduled flight. However, the reason for the decision was that when they were traveling long or short distances, fans can know in advance that BTS will come on board and sit next to them or in front of them.
The singer further mentioned that the presence of such fans in these private spaces does not make them comfortable. BTS members don’t want fans to take such steps that invade their privacy.
