Colorado paramedics have used ketamine hundreds of times to calm people with a condition called excited delirium. The practice was suspended in July after a new state law was passed to restrict its use in police presence. Now, a panel of medical experts assembled by the state’s top public health official has concluded that excited delirium has racist implications and should not be used as a justification for lulling people to sleep. KUNC investigative reporter Michael de Yoanna provided us with information.

One of the driest falls in recent memory ends along the Front Range. Denver broke a record for the last and first measurable snowfall – and is still waiting for it. Climate change is also impacting the agricultural sectors of the state, including fruits grown on the Western Slope. Rae Solomon from KUNC told us the story.

Last month, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced a temporary emergency standard requiring COVID-19 vaccines for employees of companies with more than 100 workers. The warrant has been challenged by numerous lawsuits, which have been consolidated into a single case which is now being heard by the Sixth Circuit court. The court’s decision is expected to fall in a few weeks. BizWest reporter Tommy Wood told us how this could impact Colorado businesses.
