Get a first look at Sam Fisher in the upcoming animated series on Netflix
As part of “GeekedWeek,” Netflix shared a first official preview of the Exploded cell animated series based on the hit video game franchise Ubisoft. This isn’t the live-action movie that many fans were hoping for (Venom star Tom Hardy was once committed to staring in the project), but if there’s enough interest in the series, maybe this movie will finally start to pick up some speed.
That first look doesn’t reveal much, but Sam Fisher looks really badass based on this teaser.
John wick Writer Derek Kolstad is expected to be both screenwriter and executive producer for the series which has already received a two-season, sixteen-episode order from the streaming service.
The first one Exploded cell The game was released in 2002, and there have been six sequels and a series of novels since. Recently, fans were disappointed when a new installment was announced, only to be revealed later that it will be a mobile game rather than a PS5 or Xbox Series X title.
Exploded cell revolves around former US Navy SEAL Sam Fisher after being recruited by the NSA to work for the mysterious Third Echelon division within the agency. He then embarks on a variety of covert operations missions, with the goal of stealthily removing them without alerting anyone to his presence.
