The summer transfer window is in its final month for the big European leagues, which means the biggest clubs are looking to make a splash in the market before the start of the new season. Check out the latest gossip below, and check out all the official offers here.

TOP STORY: Man City still missing £ 50million for Kane

It always seemed like a transfer saga that would go all the way to the August 31 wire and deadline, and the Daily Mirror reports Manchester City are no closer to a Tottenham Hotspur deal for Harry Kane.

Kane, 28, has made it clear he wants to leave Spurs this summer, but chairman Daniel Levy insists he will stay unless City reach the £ 150million transfer valuation.

Mirror Sport claim City have not improved their £ 100million opening bid, while Spurs will not accept any players as heavyweights in the deal.

With nine days remaining in the transfer window, it’s a question of who blinks first, although the power is at Spurs as Kane has three more years on his contract.

The city is reportedly ready to offer £ 120million, with additional incentives to raise fees. But even that may not be enough to put the English captain in that window.

10.14 BST: Real Madrid see as “almost impossible” to sign Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint Germain this summer, Cadena COPE reported.

According to Spanish radio, “neither the offers, nor the tantrums of [Mbappe]”will convince PSG to part ways with the star striker in this transfer window.

There is no prospect of a late move for Erling Haaland or, says COPE, “because of the commission [agent Mino] Raiola would ask, “which has ruled Madrid out of a deal for the time being.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti on Saturday insisted he was happy with his squad, describing them as “full of stars” even though the only arrival at the Bernabeu this summer was David Alaba on a free transfer.

09:30 BST: After a stalemate in another round of contract talks between Lorenzo Insigne and Naples, it looks like the winger could move to Milan. The two AC Milan and Inter Milan are interested in the 30-year-old, according to Calciomercato. Insigne, who has a year’s contract left, is tempted to leave his youth club for another challenge.

It is reported that the Rossoneri are more likely to wait for the Italy international to become a free agent at the end of the season, while Inter are considering a move in this window but only have a budget of 20 million euros due to their financial situation.

The winger has spent his entire career in Naples, climbing the academy ranks and achieving the rank of captain. However, there has been no movement on a new contract and Napoli have reportedly offered the player a salary of € 4.5m per year as the player and his representatives expect more than € 6m.

Insigne has made six appearances and scored two goals in Italy’s Euro 2020 victory last month.
