Tom and Ollie create Mediterranean flavors with the new Henderson accord
Tom and Ollie, the artisan Mediterranean food producer in Belfast, won a contract to supply their Oi Mezze range exclusively to Henderson Wholesale in Northern Ireland
Successful artisanal food producer to supply Henderson with eight lines, including Mezze pitted green olives; olives stuffed with mezzé garlic; House mix mezze; Slowly marinated cherry tomatoes roasted in a mezze; Black olive mezze tapenade; and Classic Creamy Mezze Hummus. All eight lines are handcrafted from Mediterranean ingredients at the company’s processing plant near Dunmurry.
Tom and Ollie’s latest list is part of the Henderson Group’s continuing focus on local artisan producers. The wholesaler’s support for local artisans is designed to help accelerate the growth and experience of one of the fastest growing sectors of the food and beverage industry over the past decade. Building on the strength of this commitment from Northern Ireland’s largest and most successful wholesale / retail food operations, producers of meats including bacon, ice cream, bread, vegetables, snacks, sauces and free-range eggs.
List by Henderson for Tom and Ollie is the first substantial business from the leading local food wholesaler for small business, a popular participant at food shows and farmers’ markets across Northern Ireland for many years and also one of the first businesses to be established after the iconic St George’s Market reopened in Belfast in 1997. Tom and Ollie recently announced an investment of around £ 300,000 to open a new production facility in Poleglass, expand its online presence and retail division, and establish new new jobs.
The food manufacturer and retailer has secured financial backing through Whiterock Finance’s Growth Loan Fund II, which provides loans to small and medium-sized businesses in Northern Ireland in the range of 100,000 to 1.5 million. pound sterling. Whiterock is funded in part by business development agency Invest NI.
Tom and Ollie specializes in artisanal Mediterranean deli foods with over 65 home made ranges including hummus, pesto, tapenades, harissa paste and a variety of olives and marinated peppers, all prepared without preservatives and offering an authentic Mediterranean taste.
The ambitious company also includes a wide range of products from other local craft companies in its marketing activities across Northern Ireland. In addition to participating in the markets here, Tom and Ollie participate in several gastronomic events each week in Dublin and other centers in the Republic of Ireland.
Whiterock’s funding has enabled the company to expand its website and add an online delivery service to its offering, with more than 300 products now available for overnight delivery across Ireland.

Henderson started in the grocery retail business in 1897 selling butter, cheese and eggs from premises on the Old Lodge Road in Belfast.
