Virat Kohli refuses to share Vamika’s photos on social networks
Vamika Pictures and media presence: Cricketer Virat Kohli said on Saturday that he and Anushka Sharma would not expose their daughter Vamika to social media.
A fan asked him the meaning of “Vamika”, his daughter’s name. They also asked how she was doing and if her followers could get a glimpse of her. To this Kohli replied that Vamika is another name for the goddess Durga. He added that as a couple, he and actor-producer Anushka Sharma have decided not to expose their child to social media. They want her to first gain an understanding of what social media is and make her own choice.

“No, we have decided as a couple not to expose our child to social media until she understands what social media is and can make her own choice,” Kohli said.
Virushka asks paparazzi not to click photos of Vamika
After Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma became parents in January, they sent the paparaazi personalized baskets and asked them not to click on Vamika’s photos. A note from the couple read: “Hello, thank you for all the love you have given us all these years. We are happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. They added that as parents they had just one request to make. “We want to protect our child’s privacy and we need your help and support,” they said.
The couple ended their note by saying they would make sure photographers get all the content they need. But they asked them not to take or transport any content containing their child. “We know you will understand where we came from and we thank you for that,” they said.
Earlier this month, Game of Thrones celebrity Sophie Turner slammed the paparazzi for clicking pictures of her daughter without her permission. She added that the reason she doesn’t upload her photos to social media is because she doesn’t want the photos released. Click here to read a detailed report.
